Patliputra, May 25, 2024 — Amid ongoing polls in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a significant public meeting in Bikram, Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency, reaffirming his commitment to the reservation rights of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). He also promised free electricity for all households in the country and launched a scathing attack on the Opposition INDI (Indian National Development Inclusive) alliance.
pic.twitter.com/NHF754IdV1

Speaking to a large gathering, PM Modi assured SC/ST/OBC communities that their reservation quotas would remain intact under his leadership. “Our constitution states that no reservation can be provided based on religion, but the INDI alliance has diverted SC/ST/OBC reservations to their vote banks, practicing what I call ‘vote jihad,'” he asserted. Modi highlighted an example from West Bengal, where he claimed 77 Muslim castes were granted OBC reservation benefits, depriving rightful beneficiaries. “As long as Modi is alive, he will not let this happen,” he promised, declaring his commitment to uphold constitutional principles.

The Prime Minister also announced a bold initiative to provide free electricity across India. “Your electricity bill will be zero,” he proclaimed, unveiling the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Program, which aims to supply solar electricity to all households. To facilitate this, the government will offer ₹75,000 to each household for solar panel installation, requiring only online registration.
In the heart of Patliputra, amidst promises echoing, PM Modi pledges not just reservation security, but also illuminates paths with the promise of free electricity, sparking hope in every corner.
Campaigning for BJP candidate Ram Kripal Yadav in Patliputra, Modi juxtaposed the BJP’s development agenda with the alleged failures of the Opposition. He praised Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government for bringing development to the state but emphasized the need for continued progress.
Addressing the crowd, Modi emphasized the importance of choosing a strong Prime Minister for India. “Bharat needs a PM who can assert the country’s strength on the global stage,” he stated. He dismissed the RJD’s lantern symbol as obsolete, symbolic of an era of darkness in Bihar under Lalu Prasad’s leadership, contrasting it with the modernity symbolized by LED bulbs.
Modi’s rhetoric was charged as he condemned the INDI alliance leaders, accusing them of being unproductive and focused solely on opposing him. “Modi works 24/7 for a developed India, while they spend their time abusing Modi,” he concluded.
Later in the day, PM Modi was scheduled to address rallies in Buxar and Karakat constituencies, campaigning for BJP and NDA candidates against the Opposition’s Mahagathbandhan nominees.
The rally in Patliputra underscored Modi’s strategic focus on consolidating support among key voter demographics and leveraging development promises to sway undecided voters as Bihar’s electoral battle intensifies.
